I’ll admit it — too often, when a designer or client asked me, "Can you build that?" my answer was, "Elementor doesn’t support that feature." If there was no widget I could use, that was the end of the discussion.
Ain’t nobody got time to custom-develop solutions when you’re building websites, right?
The Shift: From Elementor to Webflow
Then I started using Webflow, and it hit me — there are no widgets in Webflow!
Say you’re building a pricing table with a monthly/yearly toggle. In Elementor, you’d search for a plugin that has this kind of widget. In Webflow, you would either search for a public project or custom-build it, with code, by yourself.
A Whole Different Mindset
Webflow pushes you to think beyond widgets. It encourages creativity and problem-solving in ways that Elementor simply doesn’t. The lack of pre-made solutions may seem like a limitation, but it’s actually an opportunity to grow as a designer and developer.
So, what do you think? Does Elementor make you lazy, or is it just a tool that depends on how you use it?
